2022 was the year that just wasn’t meant to be…
Like many other parts of the state on this day, a furious storm wiped us out! Before we even got anyone on stage. The worst case predicted amount of rainfall from BOM was 15-25mm…and we received 65mm! It is unprecedented and as of today, our property is now underwater with the flood. Grandpa has never experienced anything like it in his 60 years here in Langhorne Creek. In the end the decision to cancel the festival was made in conjunction with SAPOL, the festival’s safety manager and production team. The safety of our patrons, suppliers, crews and artists was always of the utmost importance.
Despite the obvious disaster, we will never forget the amount of positivity, support and our attendees abilities to make the most of a bad situation. Their kindness is something we will never forget. We will forever be grateful to our family, cousins, uncles and neighbours from bordering properties who without hesitation jumped on their tractors to assist buses bogged in the mud.
